Tripe Dog Dare by author KS Brooks and Stephen Hise

Triple Dog Dare by KS Brooks and Stephen Hise.

There are times when the one is in a rut or wandering the desert seeing mirages and desperate for a desire to quench their thirst. Upon discovering they are mirages - poof they are unfulfilling, and one is left empty looking for a stimulating story. As an avid reader, this summer seemed to my season of mirages of not finding a book that feeds a reader’s cravings. Well I struck gold with Triple Dog Dare. I was surfing Facebook, and saw an interesting promotion for a light romantic comedy book. I observed it was written by two well-known authors with many successful books in their portfolio. Curiosity got the cat and I took the plunge.
I uploaded the book, and I can attest from page one to the last this tale was a delightful read. It involves various characters from humans to animals. The plot is a roller coaster of entertainment as the characters are all involved in suspenseful mysteries and adventures that are hilarious and complex with twists. All compelled the reader to stay up late to read. Some of the story had me laughing so hilariously, the sound of my joy awoke a 10–week-old slumbering puppy.
This tale and its plot was refreshing, one that stimulated all five senses with the twists, clichés all written in the right pretense, so that a reader is champing, scolding and laughing along with the characters, and all the mischief they all seemed to be involved in.
As a reader I do not favorite authors, I give five stars to the literature and this book Triple Dog Dare definitely deserves 5 stars.
This book is power-packed with sly remarks, clichés and refreshing perspectives of various schemes, yet written with an ease so that a reader is entertained to see what will happen next. This story was a quenching plunge of recharging. In fact after I finished this, I will go back as my puppy is sleeping and read some chapters over again as they are plotted to raise one’s spirits and open the flood gates to once again pick up a book and enjoy reading again, and let authors know they rock.
Best of all it has doggies and colorful characters and a light romantic comedy with clichés that stimulates the mind. My favorite is
“Terri chuckled. She then suggested Flashdog, about a dog who always wanted to be a legitimate dancer, but worked as a stripper to pay the bills while looking for his big break. Bianca tossed out Dog of the Dead, a book about Lo-Lou fighting a zombie-dog apocalypse. Terri blurted Pride and Prejudice and Milkbones, the same story, but told from the dog’s point of view, and with more peeing. Bianca countered with Star Dogs, a story about a young, restless dog named Lo-Luke Dogwalker who joined the rebel alliance to fight the evil Bark Vader.”

To sum it up, this is a cute and great-escape tale. It is funny while at the same time it has conflict, mystery and back stabbing, with romantic lures. All the ingredients that kept a reader
entertained for awhile. I highly recommend this book. It is written well and filled with conspiracies, schemes and of course the little white lies that spin out of control leading to a revenge sweet plot which backfires. The story is complete with delightful details and of course adorable dogs and colorful characters. All mixed in the midst of stimulating adventures. I bet you as a reader will not be disappointed with this light romantic comedy.

Cairo Caper (A Wendy Darlin Comedy Mystery) Barbara Silkstone (Author)

Cairo Caper (A Wendy Darlin Comedy Mystery) Barbara Silkstone (Author)

Description

Hot on the trail of Cleopatra’s grave all we had to do was get from Cairo to the Temple at Taporisis. Morning sunlight glared from the muddy surface of the Nile. Six floors down a body in white sprawled in a splat of blood. My first official kill as a tomb raider and it was an ashtray-rubout. How embarrassing. Professor Roger Jolley and I were in the first trimester of our third archaeological case. The adrenalin high of tomb raiding had become an addiction. As we sat in the Smiling Camel Café I noticed Roger was wearing two left shoes. Brown wingtips. We were definitely starting off on the wrong foot.

Cairo Caper (A Wendy Darlin Comedy Mystery)

Author Barbara Silkstone has done it again with her next book: Her writing is exciting, hilarious, and a cross between Indiana Jones and modern comedy. She has incorporated a style that compels the reader to see what wild event will happen in the next scene. The plot and setting are reminiscent of Indiana Jones.

The story is written with intelligent, sarcastic humor that keeps on rolling. Wendy Darlin, archeologist Roger Jolley and a cast of billionaire oligarchs and loopy street peddlers all race to find Cleopatra’s tomb. If you like Indiana Jones or Lara Croft adventures, you will really enjoy a lighter look at their escapades. The author adds in delightful descriptive details, and even some are clues.

In all the witty journey make this a keeper, as Silkstone’s other books are. Her writing is light reading for those moments when you need a laugh and a decent book to pass the time and raised the spirits when all is not true with the world.
My favorite part was the invisible cat scratching rubbing against Wendy’s legs. Was it a hallucination or something more?

This reader highly recommends this book for all ages over early teens. A ‘little birdie, a messenger and her partner the author’s cat told this reader to be on the lookout for clues in the story to win many great prizes so be ready to play scavenger hunt, after reading this adventurous mystery and comedy all mixed in one suspenseful story. Clues are hidden throughout the book.

The prizes for finding the correct answers are hidden in the story are great. They range from an Indiana Jones fedora to engraved luggage tags, and even a pair of red high-heel pumps.

Blog extra

A Newsflash...

I hope to send out my first clues for things that are hidden in the book. I'll be asking a question every few weeks. The answers are hidden in the book... like a quote from a movie that won an Academy Award. The correct answerers get their name put in a bowl. My cat will pull the winners names.

I will be giving away Wendy's Indiana Jones hat, her red high heels, dog-tags (military style) with Wendy Darlin Tomb Raider on the tags. They are really gorgeous gunmetal gray stainless steel.  Attention: Readers and Fans lots of prizes over the coming month(s).Be on the watch do not want to miss this great book and promotion.

Books, Food for the Soul, 13th of June, come and aid the survivors and bring a smaller planet closer together with light, peace and love.

The Books, anthologies, are of African, American and international flavoring. I think back to the days when my grandmother use to made homemade soup, to help pass through a darkness. She would put in the stock, the meat and vegetables, with a pinch of this and that. The aroma of the soup would fill the kitchen with comfort, love and reassurance that all will be well again. ULA wanted to do the same, with a pinch of love, and compassionate to create diverse and supporting anthologies. April Rains, for the West Texas Plant Explosion and the United We Stand for the Boston Marathon tragedies. Reading the inspiring poetry and stories brings back the days in grandmother's kitchen. Comfort, love and reassurance. So please come and preview and know that if you invested in the anthologies, you are helping the survivors and bringing the world closer together. A small planet with a loving heart. ♥

The Player (Two Stories Series)

http://www.amazon.com/Player-Two-Stories-ebook/dp/B00C8SX5A4/ref=sr_1_5?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1366753363&sr=1-5&keywords=eva+marie+paulliere

This one is a mystery, intriguing, and colorful characters, and tricky romance and conflicts. An enjoyable read, and will be updating as I pull the review together to honour all the witty, sensual and menage of trouble.

Eva Marie Paulliere, author of One Woman, and Menage a Trouble, presents the third and final installment of the Two Stories Series.

Amber, tired of her shallow relationship with her friend Cam and the pizza delivery man finds new love with Matt, a private investigator. Seeing how happy Amber is, Cam decides she wants a real relationship too. On Cheryl's advice, using the law of attraction she describes who her perfect man would be. Akiko, desperate to change her ways flies to Britain to seek the help of the last person she knows that can, Tanya, whose husband she once had an affair with.

Scott, Mark’s older, richer, and more attractive womanizing brother gets brushed off by a blonde, then shortly after meets a sexy Asian woman. A red-haired waitress takes an interest in him as well.
Parallel paths don’t always end with similar fates. While Akiko was a thorn in Mark’s side, Scott’s new girlfriend Asia may be the death of him.

I like how the author is able to take many characters, add conflict, suspense and backstabbing, forgiveness and life lessons and adversity to create a witty yet witty, not the word, a mengre of trouble as the author states. A delightful read, for mature ages.

Contains scenes of an explicit sexual nature, violence and some drug use. For 18+ readers only.

***This book is one of those when life is sending you a message, and it appears. You should listen; It is a message that we are united as one. Should view life's trials with an open mind. We all have childlike wonder of faith, instilled in each of us, that is hidden or asleep. An energy we all carry inside us. Life is a challenge and we are here to learn and grow to share this knowledge. It is a very descriptive diary. An exploration and a walkabout of America and other exotic locations.

He details the country's beauty and the kindness of strangers all combine to assist a wounded soul, to be released from past wounds. Unchained from societal rules. Learn to shed it all along with the emotional baggage that holds one back from discovering their full potential.

The author wrote a book, a diary which includes expressive pictures, of his discoveries. The important symbolism of living in the moment, regarding number 3, a spiritual number and other wisdom. Which compels readers to rethink about their life's objectives.

It speaks of the universal symbolism and the energies we as humanity have untapped, dominant inside of us. We need to explore passions and life's gifts, to unlock mysteries. His perspectives have the reader ponder their life purpose.

Highly recommend this to readers in a rut, lost on the path of life looking for more than the rat race grind. It suggests that one has to be daring and break away from societal chains and stereotyped beliefs. This very insightful story opens the reader's eyes and heart to not take life for granted. To take a breath and view the earthly realm, and humanity as the wonders they are. All humanity and the planet in their magnificent wonderment. To appreciate the gifts awaiting one who dares to think outside the box. Compassion is written throughout the whole book. This is heartwarming and very educational.

The story continues as the author travels to places, and describe the beauty of the scenery and people and the meaning of interaction. He describes with questions how to connect with your inner wisdom. He advises to look for the signs of awakening.

He describes it is a light, of awareness. This book was a stimulating read. It is a young man's discovery of healing and connecting with each others. To discover purpose, to exchange energy and grow in knowledge, meanwhile doing something you love to do.

Compassion- It allows us to transcend the limiting stories that we and our society have created for ourselves. When we show true compassion, we create a powerful love vortex for ourselves and others to step into and this elevates us out of victim consciousness and into the empowered co-Creator consciousness of the Universe." This story is a man's journey to release the past wounds and connect to the energies that helps move one forth in their spiritual investigation and exploration."

This is an intriguing tale and if one listens and practices the words of wisdom in it, there would be more light in the universe, and love which this world needs more than ever."
****

Okay found a way to upload the picture, my camera was low on charge. Now back to finished the last paragraphs. This book is amazing, it has secrets that will assist anyone in need of encouragement. The author speaks how to move beyond the emotional drama of your child and adult hood, the crises that hit you with no warning. That we all have an inner guiding tool, energies and spiritual calling. It can be awakened by living in the moment and observing the blessings around you and helping another. First to love yourself and give yourself a break from all the wounds inflicted by others.

Part I  (free on Amazon)

The kindle does not upload reviews; I wish I remember what I wrote, as a reader i was blown away with the first part I of the Anastasia- The Dregg Chronicles, it was a sweet treat, delicious to the end. Fast paced and suspenseful, from page one to the conclusion.

Anastasia was a sweet young woman until tragedy almost destroys her life. Now the aftermath is a path of light and darkness. What will be her choices, good or bad, it will be a difficult journey to deal with, of the unfair experience she suffers through.

I read this and above is the second nighttime snack part II of the series, it is a horror, fairytale and adventure all wrapped in a small package.  I was hook from the first book and read the second and of course now craving more.
