JH Glaze is a unique kind of Storyteller. He was born in Ohio and as a young adult traveled the country, often times hitchhiking, looking for new opportunities. The sometimes unbelievable experiences he had during these years is evident in his style of writing, an accessible "hey, I know you" kind of word construction that enables you to be a part of his stories. After years of wandering, discovering America and people from every walk of life, he eventually landed in Atlanta GA.
His writing includes a paranormal horror/thriller series of full length novels called 'The Paranormal Adventures of John Hazard' which currently consists of 'The Spirit Box', 'NorthWest' and the soon to be released 3rd book in the series, 'Send No Angel'. These stories center around a main character, John Hazard, a former police detective turned paranormal investigator. Many adventures are planned for John and readers are invited to "Stay Tuned".
JH Glaze has also developed a short story series entitled The Horror Challenge, whereby he solicits his readers for a word or phrase that he then uses to craft a short story, usually in 2,000 words or less. This method of story development brings the reader into the creative process then credits their story suggestion at the time of publishing. The interaction with readers is revolutionary in the literary community and the tales he weaves from the suggestions are often a surprising twist on every day objects and situations.
With the Novelettes, The Life We Dream and Forced Intelligence, JH Glaze expanded his writing into realms of romance and science fiction, while maintaining a compelling story telling style. The new series coming this spring, Rune will add yet another layer to his work and he is excited to unveil this serial novel, one thrilling episode at a time.
A signature of his writing style is to use common situations to lead the reader along a path that seems familiar to them, and then provide a twist that is so unexpected, it is impossible to not feel compelled to keep reading late into the night. With a blend of humor and horror, he delights in giving the reader something to look forward to in every chapter of every novel or short story.
When you are looking for a story to thrill and entertain you in a way that you may not have experienced before, try a novel, novelette, or short story by JH Glaze. You'll discover why they call him one of the new Kings of Horror!
JH Glaze currently lives in Atlanta with his wife Susan, who moonlights as his editor, 2 crazy dogs and a Senegal Parrot who hates, but tolerates him.

The Horror Challenge - Story Compilations

The Horror Challenge is an ongoing project by Horror/Thriller/Paranormal Author JH Glaze. The concept is to take story suggestions from readers and fans and turn them into Flash Fiction.

Flash Fiction is a style of literature or story of extreme brevity. There is no widely accepted definition of the length of the category. The Horror Challenge stories attempt to remain at a length of less than 1500 words.

The Challenge is to take any topic or object, no matter how simple or ordinary, and write about it as the theme or prop in the story. The stories are then written one per day, several days a week and posted to a Facebook page appropriately titled The Horror Challenge.

On The Horror Challenge page on Facebook, anyone can suggest a topic by posting it. When the story is written, the name of the person who suggested the topic, as well as the topic they suggested, appear with the story.

The resulting stories can be read in a matter of minutes. They are a great read for coffee breaks, standing in line, or during a daily commute. These stories will make you think, make you laugh and provide the entertainment you look for in your pursuit of interesting reading.

    Forced Intelligence

What if we could boost the intelligence of humans through a process of brain stimulation using frequencies close to those of the average mobile phone?

Doctors Connor and Shafer have been working for years to perfect the treatment, but on the day of the experiment, a careless lab technician makes a mistake that jeopardizes the lives of everyone in the facility.

With the military closing in, the clock is ticking, and when their time runs out...

I want to involve you in the stories, to bring you into my worlds and share with you the innermost thoughts that have been woven into my books. The stories originate with simple ideas, and I tell them in a way that carries you the reader, through it inside of your own mind.
It's a place where you can use your imagination to become a player in the action, if you wish to be, and the directions to do so are to be found within this site.
Please take a look around, get involved if you wish, but whatever you do: Do Not Look Into The Spirit Box!
